Dog Nurses Baby Squirrels After Their Home is Destroyed

After a chainsaw destroyed their tree-top home, three baby squirrels found themselves destitute. A North Carolina woman found the squirrels and tried to feed them with a bottle, but after the bottle failed to work. She offered the squirrels to her dog, Pixie. Pixie a four year old, poodle and recent mother seemed more than happy to take on the baby squirrels. Read the full article here:

    This is so amazing! I know it’s heartwarming and sweet and wonderful, but really! My dogs wouldn’t think twice. Those squirrels would be so dead! I always thought squirrels were the dogs natural enemy, after cats. (Though, my recently departed Berkeley used to hate them even more I thought.)
